Vice Chairman

The Vice Chairman supports the Chairman, deputising for them in their absence. Their role is similar to that of the Chairman.

Key aspects of the role

  • Deputise for the Chairman in their absence or as requested by the Chairman
  • Work with the Chairman to ensure that all Officer/Committee positions are filled
  • Support the Chairman to provide leadership to the team on all aspects of the club, from playing to fundraising and social activities
  • Work with the Chairman to arrange Committee meetings, Emergency Committee Meetings and Special/Annual General Meetings. Chair meetings in the absence of the Chairman
  • Work with the Chairman to create the club development/business plan
  • Deputise for the Chairman at RFU AGM and Kent County RFU meetings as appropriate
  • Attend Sub-Committee meetings if they concern club policy
