Where did your rugby playing career start and when?

I was first introduced to rugby at school when I was 13 (1975) but only played a few games.

At 19 (1981) I went down to Sevenoaks RFC where I spent the next 12 years playing 1st, 2nd and 3rd team rugby as a winger and then flanker.

What do you love most about rugby?

I love the discipline and the aggression needed to play this fantastic game. I also love the comradery.

What do you love most about Weavering Warriors RFC?

I joined Weavering only a few years ago, I was unsure how I would be received as I’m clearly older than everyone else at the club. I needn’t have worried as I have been fully included and made to feel so welcome. This is such a great social club and I am never left out.

Who is your favourite rugby player of all time, and why?

Neil Back a proper old school blind side flanker, hard as nails.

Likes: Motorbike touring and Enduro racing
