Where did your rugby playing career start and when? 

I moved from Essex to Perth, Scotland when I was 14, and so I became more exposed to rugby as the sport of choice than I ever had been in England. Playing it at school led me to try out for Perthshire RFC at 15, getting picked to join their “Colts” side at Full Back and going on to be a regular. I’ve enjoyed District, University, and club rugby since, and I grew into a proper rugby player eventually (a forward), playing most of my rugby in the back row before age caught up with me and forced me further into the pack

What do you love most about rugby? 

It’s the best team sport on the planet. There is no other game that combines so many different skills and abilities, it’s the epitome of camaraderie; there really is a place in the game for everyone and we play for each other every game

What do you love most about Weavering Warriors RFC? 

It’s a club that has stayed true to its values for over 20 years. It’s social, it’s inclusive and most of all it’s passionate about rugby remaining at the heart of the community

Who is your favourite rugby player of all time, and why? 

Lawrence Dallaglio. One of the first of the “modern era” back-rowers who had great game awareness and athleticism, as well as raw strength and real passion for the game
