1. Players code of conduct
- To play because you want to do so, are fit to do so, and are not pressured to do so
- To be aware of and abide by the Safeguarding policies specified by the club
- To make the club aware of your specific safeguarding and wellbeing needs
- To bring to the attention of the club any change to your wellbeing needs
- To take responsibility of your own health and fitness
- To train regularly and develop your skills to meet the demands of the game
- To be on time to training, events, meetings and matches
- To be attentive at training and meetings
- To promote a culture of good sportsmanship and conduct
- To have emotional control
- To refrain the from the use of foul language
- To refrain from making discriminative comments of (age, gender, race, colour etc)
- To respect the culture and religion of other persons
- To respect the needs and values of others
- To treat others in the manner you would expect to be treated
- To respect the opposition
- To act with decency and respect
- To be aware of the current laws of the game as set by the IRB
- To respect the decision of match officials
- To pay your playing membership subscriptions on time
- To have read and understood the rules of the club and the laws of the game
2. Match officials code of conduct
- To be abide by the RFU Safeguarding policies for Adults At Risk and Children
- To respect and abide the additional Safeguarding policies implemented by the club
- To recognise the importance of enjoyment when officiating matches
- To provide constructive feedback to players and coaches
- To emphasise the spirit of the game
- To be consistent and objective
- To prioritise the needs and safety of the players
- To understand the behavioural development of players
- To encourage good sportsmanship in the game
- To discipline those who commit foul play
- To play advantage wherever possible to promote a free-flowing game
- To continuously develop their game and to be up to date with the current laws
- To show empathy towards the age and ability of players
- To ensure easy access is available for emergency service vehicles and personnel
- To ensure before kick off that game attire conforms to the laws of the game
3. Coaches code of conduct
- To abide by the safeguarding policies of the RFU for Adults At Risk and Children
- To respect and abide the additional Safeguarding policies implemented by the club
- To discourage and report the consumption of alcohol and cigarettes by Children
- To recognise the importance of enjoyment when coaching
- To appreciate that learning is achieved through practice
- To put the needs and wellbeing of the player before the needs of the sport
- To promote and develop a good sportsmanlike culture
- To respect the decisions made by match officials
- To provide constructive and respectful feedback to players and match officials
- To continuously develop their coaching skills through regular training
- To be aware of the current and upcoming laws of the game as set by the IRB
- To coach to the current laws of the game per the policies of the Rugby Continuum
- To provide suitable training sessions for the ability of the players concerned
- To coach in a manner that sustains an acceptable quality of playing surface
- To provide coaching in a safe environment with access to adequate first aid
- To ensure easy access is available for emergency service vehicles and personnel
- To be vigilant towards player injuryTo mitigate players’ exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold
- To supervise players both on and off the pitch
- To have good organisation and time keeping skills
- To promote dignity by keeping the importance of winning and losing in perspective
4. Spectators code of conduct
- To be familiar with Safeguarding polices of the club
- To report safeguarding breaches to the Safeguarding officer
- To be vigilant against the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol by Children
- To act as a positive role model to players and members
- To appreciate that players are playing for their own enjoyment
- To respect the decision of match officials
- To refrain from use of foul language
- To refrain from making discriminative comments of (age, gender, race, colour etc)
- To respect the culture and religion of other persons
- To treat others in the manner you would expect to be treated

- To encourage their team in a positive manner
- To refrain from making negative comments about an individual or group
