About our club

Rugby for all

Being the most social club in Maidstone is not a gimmick. We're totally inclusive, welcoming players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, and we come together as one team to celebrate the highs and support each other through the lows.

The rugby we offer

We currently provide adult men's rugby, playing in the Kent Counties 5 League. We have aspirations to grow and diversify the rugby we offer, so that more of our community can pull on the Weavering shirt.

  1. 2003

Founding members establish a social rugby team in the Weavering suburb of Maidstone, amid the fervour of England's World Cup victory.

  2. 2021

After years of sharing pitches, the club settles in Parkwood and takes over The Pavilion, refurbished by members. League status in Kent County RFU follows.

  3. 2023

Our 20th year, and a renewed strategy built on our strengths: an inclusive, social, well-managed club with the community at its heart.

  4. 2026

A landmark year. After three seasons without a base, the club takes possession of its new home at The Heathers community centre and becomes RFU accredited. With that we meet the milestones in our development plan: a new home, a return to the competitive league structure, and a start on building the club of the future.

Our home

The Heathers, Parkwood

After three seasons borrowing pitches and relying on the generosity of others, we have a place to call our own again. The Heathers community centre is the hub for all of our rugby and social activity.

It's more than just a building. It's the heart we'd been missing, and it gives us the stability to grow the squad, restart old traditions and build new ones.

In our members' words

Part of the Weavering family

From the first day I attended training I was made to feel welcome. The guys treated me like I'd been mates with them for years and included me in everything right from the start.

Andy Ranger · Social member

It's such a friendly club. I joined just after lockdown when I'd recently moved to Maidstone and the welcome was great; everyone is so easy to get along with.

Ryan Sheridan · Prop

I love how friendly the club is. Joining only a few years ago I was made to feel very welcome and have made a load of mates.
